Russian? Novichok assassins wanted to be seen.

So the story is, these two are highly trained Russian intelligence operatives, (well one would have thought that they would be highly trained).
They landed at Gatwick and then took the train system to Waterloo and onto Salisbury in doing so these highly trained operatives chose the route with the most CCTV cameras. Almost as if they wanted to be seen.  They didnt do this once but twice, so 4 trips on the train system.

Scotland yard released pictures of the pair going through the airport

Ruslan Boshirov goes through at 16:22:43

Alexander Petrov goes through at 16:22:43

So from those pictures it looks like they both went through same corridor and were in exactly the same space at exactly the same time to the second. Even if the corridors are different ones that look the same, they both passed the same point at the same time to the second.

Im not sure if thats spooky or if there is some other explanation?

These supposedly highly trained operatives from Russian intelligence are on camera just standing as if they are making sure they are on CCTV.

My questions are.

  1. Why would 'highly trained russian intelligence operatives choose a route with the most CCTV on it?
  2. Why wouldnt you go there by hire car and back by train to confuse things? or make the trip there and back by car or motorbike avoiding the majority of CCTV.
  3. How did two people manage to walk down the same corridor with neither in sight of the other and be in exactly the same space at excatly the same time to the second?
  4. If its not the same corridor how did they manage to be in the same spot, in different corridors at exactly the same time to the second.
  5. Why stand in full view of CCTV camera that they would obviously be aware of? There are many other pictures of them on CCTV.
