A product that truly helps women melt off stubborn fat Has anyone tried this? What results?
A product that truly helps women melt off stubborn fat
OK Really .....?
I'm a great believer that diets don't work. However this seems to be different. I shall investigate Leptin, science is uncovering different things all the time and this seems to be very interesting. We shall see.
If anyone has tried this let me know in comments.
"The Venus Factor is the first and only weight loss plan designed to dramatically increase female metabolism and bring out the sexy goddess in you by delivering fast, long term, enjoyable fat loss..."
Sounds too good to be true but then again on the right track. As far as im concerned whats key to losing weight is not diet, but a sustainable change in eating habits, Eating less energy than you burn and an increase in metabolism.
"If you’re looking for that magic weight loss answer, or if you just want this week’s celebrity fad diet... or some gimmick deep down you already know will never work, The Venus Factor is not for you."
"The Venus Factor is only for Women that are ready to put down the gimmick answers in order to follow a proven, flavorful step by step system for weight loss."
"So, if you want the real answer to female weight loss..."
"...and if you want to get the bikini body you desire without damaging your metabolism, or spending endless hours in the gym and sacrificing your favorite foods or red wine to do it, then The Venus Factor isn’t just “a system” for you..."
IT'S THE ONLY SYSTEM FOR YOU...
Watch this space for more updates on Leptin and the Venus Factor.

Israel-Gaza strikes
I think I'm just going to keep this simple. Regardless of who's right and who's wrong. Regardless of who's firing missiles at whom and from where.
We are supposed to be civilised human beings, even if Hamas is using civilians as shields you have a collective responsibility to not fire on civilians. Find another way.
Someone has to stand on the moral high ground and say we will not fire on civilians and if there is any doubt we will not engage.
I will say this, there is lots of propaganda and its difficult to know what is right and what is wrong.
Therefore I call for all those involved in ordering and carrying out attacks from both sides to be tried for war crimes. Let judge and Jury decide what was wrong and what was right, what was truth and what was lies.
I will leave you with these Graphic images. Not pleasant to see young kids blown up but sometimes it takes a shock to make a change.

Hot Topic - Is Fasting Healthy
So the hot topic of the day was fasting, Muslims obviously fast for religious and spiritual reasons during ramadam. Which is fine no problem with that however there was some extolling of the health benefits of fasting and its cleansing/detoxification abilities. So lets have a look at that.
Now one of the problems I have with this is the lack of water. The body needs water to rid itself of toxins and in the various searches I made this seemed to be confirmed.
The Importance of Water While Fasting
In short, there is still a lot of research to be done but basically there is evidence that intermittent fasting could be beneficial. Michael Mosley presented this programe on BBC2s horizon. Eat, Fast and Live longer.
Interestingly the good effects of his 4 day fast were not long lasting. Which would be my point of view even without research. You have to reduce the amount you eat to below that of what your body burns and you need to drink water or liquid to help the body remove toxins and it needs to be something you can do long term. Not just a fad diet but a change in eating habits.
I can even see the benefits of the 5:2 fast diet as its not really a fasting diet its a reduced calorie diet on 2 days, normal calories on 5 days. So on the reduced calories days you eat just 600 calories and normal calories on the other 5, thats for men. Women would be 500 calories. You never know I might try that myself. In my opinion the fact that you are taking in a small amount of calories on the fast days means the body doesn't go into panic fat storage mode and your still drinking water or liquid.
Note though the caveat that even though this worked for Michael Mosley it was in laboratory conditions and as he says it might not work or even be dangerous for others. A lot more research needs to be done.

Just a note that bad breath when fasting is not an indication that your body is detoxing. Its caused by bacteria building up in the mouth caused by lack of saliva which again is a direct result of not eating food or drinking liquid.

His Daughter ~ Molly Kate Kestner ~ So what does it take to get 8 million + hits on your UTube video?
Well it helps if you can write a cracking emotional song. It will also help if you can sing it with incredible pathos and I do mean incredible. So that's two boxes ticked for this 18 year old from Minnesota.
Some will say there are better singers, maybe, but its not all about how much vocal gymnastics, range or power you can put into a song, give me emotion any day and there's not many that can emote like Molly.
There was another component that was a big factor in the songs incredible success, Star Trek ..... well not specifically Star Trek but the song went into hyperspace when George Takei aka Sulu from Star Trek was forwarded the track and was taken by it so much he posted it on his Facebook page, with nearly 7 million followers.
The rest is now history, recorded on an old IPhone and on a piano which would obviously benefit from a good piano tuner, the track is incredibly raw and ... well stunning, listen to it yourself I'll be amazed if your not moved. There are already cover versions but none come anywhere close to the emotion Molly puts into it. IMHO Even the studio version is not as emotionally stirring as the raw version. Ive posted some of the better cover versions at the bottom and more of Molly's songs below. Most of the originals are stunning, Enjoy :-)

Finding Sugarman
70th Anniversary of D Day (the largest combined sea, air, and land military operation in history), We must remember them and the sacrifices made.
Operation Overlord
"Do you realise that by the time you wake up in the morning 20,000 men may have been killed?" {Churchill to his wife the night before D-Day}
On the 6th of June 1944 175,000 troops landed on the Normandy coast, helped there by more than 5,000 ships, crewed by 195,700 personnel from the Allied navies and merchant navies.
The allies put ashore 5 divisions on Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword beaches. By the end of the day nearly 4,500 had died achieving the beachhead.
Despite various films attempts to portray D Day as a predominately US operation this is a myth and Overlord was the brainchild largely of Gen. Bernard Montgomery, the land force commander. The majority of Warships, Landing craft and Aircraft involved were British.
My uncle was a sailor on a landing craft and they had to return for repairs after the landing craft hit a mine. Uncle Charlie was in the army but not sure where, he never made it back.
My Dad landed on D Day +6 (that's 6 days later) as part of the Royal Engineers at Arromanches, probably as part of one of the below. Still trying to locate which one, and I remember him saying that his commander was Lieutenant-General Brian Horrocks

British Navy bombardment of the French Navy at its base at Mers-el-Kébir 3 July 1940
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attack_on_Mers-el-K%C3%A9bir
Well I didn't know that ......
On the 3rd July 1940 a British Naval task force attacked a French Fleet at anchor in its base at Mers-el-Kébir, French Algeria. This was to stop the ships ending up in German hands but resulted in 1,297 french sailors being killed and the French mounting air raids on Gibraltar.
That's enough of a summary, no point me rewriting it all the detail is on the Wiki page
Muslim bus drivers refuse to let guide dogs on board. Seriously??
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1295749/Muslim-bus-drivers-refuse-let-guide-dogs-board.html
Ok it is the Daily Mail but checking on the internet seems to find other related stoies.
My Opinion
Sorry but if you cant do the whole of a job for whatever reason then don't do the job, simples.
If your allergic to spiders its best not to apply for a job at the zoo looking after spiders, yes?
"The Muslim Council of Britain said. It urged Muslims to show tolerance and common sense over the issue. 'We need to be flexible on this,' a spokesman said. 'Muslim drivers should have no hesitation in allowing guide dogs into their bus or car."
and from the darkness a glimmering voice of sensibility lets hope its listened to.
What do you think?
Positioning statement
Just to qualify, my opinion is that any race or religion is welcome in Britain. (The diversity is what makes Britain a great place to live) as long as your beliefs do not adversely affect others.

Respect or Contempt
I saw this video sometime ago when it was being touted as an example of respect for women and at the time I thought wow OK.
Having had some discussion with some Muslim colleagues, I now question the motives for his actions.
My question
is, is this respect or contempt? Is the Muslim man just protecting
himself because his religion says that he shouldn't look at scantily
clad women. In reality, as she is wearing few clothes and a perceived
pork eater, does he think she is nothing more than a dirty bitch?
Just
asking the question?
